  4.    DBS-KAT, Version 2.25, is for 320 KB RAM computers which have a hard disk & 
  5. PC-DOS or MS-DOS 3.0 or greater. DBS-KAT catalogs diskettes & helps manages 
  6. your hard disk.  European DOS users are supported as of version 2.10 DBS-KAT.
  7.    If you already have an earlier version of DBS-KAT installed, copy your pre-
  8. existing KATDB.* files to another directory or to a backup diskette.  If you 
  9. have an existing PC-KAT or pre-2.0 DBS-KAT database, read pages 6-8 of the 
  10. DBS-KAT Technical Reference Manual for conversion instructions. If upgrading 
  11. from 2.0 or greater, install as normal, & then restore your backed up KATDB.* 
  12. files afterwards to the \DBSKAT directory. After backing up the KATDB.* files, 
  13. erase all other pre-existing DBS-KAT software from your hard disk. 
  14.    This diskette contains the file DBSKAT.EXE.  You should install DBS-KAT in 
  15. a directory called \DBSKAT.  Copy the file DBSKAT.EXE to that directory & then 
  16. move to that directory.  Type: C:\ & press ENTER; type: MD \DBSKAT  & press 
  17. ENTER; type: CD \DBSKAT & press ENTER; type: A:DBSKAT & press ENTER which 
  18. will create the files & documentation for DBS-KAT.  The documentation is 
  19. easily read online, just type: ML KATBOOK & press ENTER.  Type: ML KATBOOK /M 
  20. if you want to force monochrome mode (/M is optional). But if you want to 
  21. print the manual anyway, type: COPY KATBOOK.OUT PRN  & press ENTER.  
  22.    Installation & usage instructions are in manual, as well as an overview 
  23. page. Everything described is on this diskette. This is NOT demo software!
